TERMS AND CONDITIONS for ONLINE BOOKING

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Before booking online, the candidates are requested to ensure that they are eligible for the course(s). The Eligibility Criteria for each course (/combo courses) is given in the individual course description pages and it also appears while registering for the courses.

  2. After booking the course online, the candidate has to produce documentary proof of their eligibility. On verification of documents, if the candidate is found not-eligible for the course, then the booking will be cancelled. Refund of course fees will be made after deducting cancellation charges as per the Cancellation and Refund Policy given below.

SHIFTING OF COURSE/ COURSE DATES

  1. Candidates are requested to finalise their program before booking the course(s). If due to any circumstances, the candidate is unable to undergo the course on the stipulated date, the same can be shifted to next available date within 3 months from the original course dates. There will be no shifting charges.

  2. However, if the candidate requires shifting the course(s) to a date which is beyond 3 months from the original course dates, then shifting charges will be applicable @ 10% of the course fees, for a maximum period of 6 months.

  3. Interchanging/Shifting of course (i.e., transferring the course-fees, paid for one course, for booking another course) will be permissible only for courses with higher fees and the candidate will require paying the difference in fees.

  4. Interchange/shifting of name is not permissible.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  1. Cancellation of booked course(s) can be done only on submission of written request to the management, with a valid reason (substantiated with proof).

  2. Kindly note that approving the cancellation is at the sole discretion of the management.

  3. The original course fees receipt needs to be surrendered on approval of cancellation. NO REFUNDS will be processed without original receipt.

  4. For Refund of the cancelled course fees, the following terms will be applicable:

    3 3-14 days prior to commencement of course 30 % of course fee
    4 Within 3 days prior to commencement of course 50 % of course fee
    5 After commencement of course 100 % of course fee(No Refund)
  6. On approval of cancellation by the management, the refund shall be processed in 7-10 working days.

  7. The Refund amount will be issued only by cheque (A/c payee) in favour of the candidate.

  8. The above policy is only applicable to the course(s) originally booked and cancelled and not applicable to the course(s) that has been carried forward by shifting to alternative dates.

CAUTION

  1. After completing the online payment, you will be redirected back to IMC site for payment confirmation message. Please do not press BACK or REFRESH button until you are directed back. The candidate needs to be patient, as the process may take 2-3 minutes.

  2. We as a merchant shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly out of the decline of authorization for any Transaction, on account of the Cardholder having exceeded the preset limit mutually agreed by us with our acquiring bank from time to time.

  3. If the amount is debited from your Bank Account but error page displayed or course not booked, please immediately report such occurrence to info@indianmaritimecollege.in or contact us by phone (044-24336953).

  4. In case of such occurrence, it may take upto 2-3 days to get confirmation from our bank about the receipt of payment. Therefore, we suggest you to rebook the desired course(s) by making another payment. Any extra payment credited to us will be refunded through cheque in the candidate’s name at the time of course commencement.

  5. Transaction fees charged would be borne by cardholder for any payment. Transaction fee charges would not be refunded/ reversed under any circumstances for any refund/ reversal /chargeback and any other reasons.

  6. **All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Chennai City only**
